Who is it for?
This program is for students who are from backgrounds of social and financial adversity. All applicants must meet the following criteria:
First-generation to attend university, meaning their parents did not complete an undergraduate degree
Low-income background
Ages 18-26
Current undergraduate students or recent graduates
OR students impacted by armed conflict and/or a natural disaster

Does this program require travel?
All stages of the Aspire Leaders Program are delivered online. We suggest access to the internet and a mobile device, laptop, tablet, or computer.
Is English knowledge required?
All stages are delivered in English; however, if English is your second language or you are not 100% fluent, we still encourage you to apply and do your best.
Am I eligible if I have applied before?
Yes, if you applied for the 2022 program then you are eligible to apply again – unless you are alumnus and completed all five stages. Congratulations on your perseverance!
Timeline
Students who apply by the Early Action Deadline will be the first cohort to progress through each stage in 2023. You will be welcomed to Stage 1 on a rolling basis and continue from there. The Aspire Leaders Program is competitive, and we strongly encourage you to submit your application early.
Once accepted to the Aspire Leaders Program, students will continue through a multi-stage selection process, culminating in the finalist program, delivered virtually. This occurs 4-5 months after the application deadline.

Early Life And Education
Davido, whose full name is David Adedeji Adeleke, was born on the 21st of November, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the family of Mr. Adedeji Adeleke and Mrs. Veronica Imade Adeleke. He is the family’s last child, with five elder siblings before him.
As a result of the wealth that David’s family had, he attended only the best schools for his education. Davido attended British International School in Victoria Island, Lagos State in Nigeria, for his primary and secondary education.
After that, he went to Oakwood University in Alabama to study Business Management but opted to drop out mainly to focus on his music career. After much advice from his father, Davido decided to revisit his studies. He enrolled at Babcock University in Ogun State in Nigeria and graduated with a degree in Music. His father fully funded the department as the first in the school with an inaugural class of one.
Personal Life
Davido is currently not married but has two children, a boy and a girl, from different mothers. Despite having children from different women, he is engaged and remains in a relationship with Chioma Avril Rowland, the mother of his late son Ifeanyi who died on the 1st of November, 2022.
Career
Davido always intended to venture into the entertainment industry as a musician. He officially dropped his first single, “Back When,” on the 7th of May, 2011. Then, Davido was signed to HKN Records, a music company managed and owned by one of his brothers, Adewale Adeleke.
During that same year, he released an album that consisted of diverse hit singles while featuring top artists and producers such as 2baba, Naeto C, Maleek Berry, GospelOnDeBeatz, and Kayswitch, among others.
In 2013, Davido earned massive recognition in the Nigerian music industry after partnering with Shizzi, his friend and producer, to drop the hit singles Gobe, One of A Kind, and Skelewu.
Davido has remained active in the music industry with diverse songs, including Aye (2014) and Fans Mi (2015). In 2016, he set up his record label, David Music Worldwide (DMW), and immediately signed three artists, Mayorkun, Dremo, and Ichaba.
Memorably, Davido has won many awards, including Best Pop Single and Song of the Year at the Headies Award 2018, Best African Act Award at the 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards, and Best International Act at the 2018 BET Awards. He remains one of the best artists from Nigeria and is well-known on the international stage.
