Selected candidates are expected to partake in a state recruitment session scheduled for November 6th to November 19th, 2023.

Here is a step-by-step guide to applying for the Nigerian Army 86 Regular Recruits Intake for trades, non-tradesmen, and women:

  1. Apply online at the recruitment portal http://recruitment.army.mil.ng.
  2. Log in to the aforementioned link using the provided username and password.
  3. Complete the online application form, submit it, and print a copy. Additionally, print and complete the Guarantor’s form as required.
  4. Ensure the duly signed copies of the application and guarantor’s forms are brought to the designated state recruitment centers.
  5. The Army Headquarters specifies that applicants must be single and Nigerian citizens by birth, possess a National Identity Card/NIN, have no criminal convictions by a court of law, hold a minimum of 4 passes in not more than two sittings in WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB, and be medically, physically, and psychologically fit according to Nigerian Army Standards.
  6. Applicants must not be less than 18 years or more than 22 years for non-tradesmen/women, while tradesmen/women must not exceed 26 years as of December 18, 2023. Those applying as tradesmen/women should also possess a Trade Test/City Guild Certificate.
  7. Height requirements stipulate that applicants must not be less than 1.68 meters and 1.65 meters tall for male and female candidates, respectively. A valid birth certificate/age declaration endorsed by the National Population Commission, Hospital, or Local Government Council is mandatory, along with a valid state of origin.
  8. Registered Nurses and Midwives not above 30 years old are also eligible to apply.
